Need Some Good Advice About a Girl i like?

I really like this one girl. she is pretty shy, but she asked me to a dance recently. the only thing is tho she still has feelings for her ex which was at leaast 7 months ago. im really nice to her, and i try to talk to her but when i do it seems like she doesnt want to talk or isnt very happy. and then on other days she seems just fine. i text her once a day but sometimes she doesnt awnser, but most of the time she does. ive been trying for about a month and dunno if im gunna move on or keep trying. shes sorta hard to talk to cause u gotta do everything for a response but theres something about her that makes me wanna get closer. im just wondering, from anyone, what should i do to get her to open up or like me. or if she even likes me.

i'd say give her sometime, maybe she's still scared from her last relationship. dude, trust me, rushing her would just make her wanna spend less time around you. if you feel something special about her, you should definetly stick around but give her time. theres nothing more annoying than a pushy guy who just wants to make out with you already! hope everything works out for you man.
