Need some advice, asking a girl out?

Well theres this girl in one of my classes (college), we sit together, talk some during class, and we always walk across campus and talk and stuff after class....she seems pretty receptive and all, really nice, plus she even seems like the type that likes to be in relationships and all that (and Im pretty sure she's single)....soo I was planning to ask her out today after class, but when we got close to the bus stop across campus. I guess I got bamboozled or something though because she stopped early and and said a friend was picking her up, so I just had to act fast so I asked if she wants to study together for a test tuesday, soo she said yeah and gave me her number.


Now it just seems tricky since I got her number under false pretenses, so Im not sure if it would be right to call and somehow ask for a date instead of studying....but if I just go study with her or something and go from there she wouldnt really know my intentions so I don't think it'd work out like that...


Any advice on what to do? Am I overthinking and should just text her or something and see if she wants to do something?Need some advice, asking a girl out?

Why don't you expand on the opportunity that was presented to you, go study with her and in the course of you studying, ask her if she would like to grab a bite to eat after wards. This way you didn't get her number under false pretenses and you can still ask her out without feeling like you lied to her. Once you go out with her, talk to her about possibly taking her out on a non-study date and let her decide if she wants to progress with you further.
